After two days search of forums and websites, I decided to use marcaria.com for registering a domain name. Actually I have never used this service before, but as the domain in question has (.at) extension – Austria, I had to look for a new registrar.

edu_abroad twitter account updating from Wordpress
This is a new post which follows my previous, Twitter tools for WP install experiment.
Updated <- edu_abroad twitter account updated successfully but bit.ly not works.
Something i have missed. In Setting when you scroll down almost to the bottom, there is setting for bit.ly plugin.
I have to get bit.ly username and API key. –> I got it from bit.ly by registering a free account.
Username and API key can be found at the left sidebar in account setting page.

Twitter Tools for Wordpress – install
Just installed Twitter Tool for Wordpress and created this post to check if it works as expected.
1. edit: I forgot to confirm my Twitter account before this post, so let’s see what happens now.
2. Not works so far. Checked:
- Twitter Test login passed
- Enable option to create a tweet when you post in your blog? set to yes.
Next try.

Buying a new domain or an old one?
I tend to buy old domain names with established back-links these days.
Establishing a brand new domain name takes too long at the moment. Tens of thousands of new domain news registered every day and the chances of getting noticed, are decreasing day by day. As the Internet grosses a single domain name has less as less attention, unless it is something very unique and creates hype.
Think about all the trouble comes with a very newly registered domain starts with a website creation and then link building. All these is solved by buying a previously existed domain name where someone else already did this job for you. You have all the back links and you can recreate a website using archive.org website.
