I use this following method when buying a high PR domain from someone I do not fully trust.
1. step
Search Google for info….info:domain.ext
Case1: you see the same domain name as search result with the right page title – so far so good
Case2: you see other domain name than the one you searched for – false PR – page redirected
Case3: no data at all – well, you do not want to deal with a site not listed in Google at all.
— Either very new site or received Google’s punishment
