Just bought an old domain with marcaria.com

by admin on February 19, 2010

After two days search of forums and websites, I decided to use marcaria.com for registering a domain name. Actually I have never used this service before, but  as the domain in question has (.at) extension – Austria, I had to look for a new registrar.

This is the domain name: fh-kaernen.at

The domain registering process was even easier then anywhere else.

Step 1. – check the domain availability

Step 2. – name server settings

Step 3. – pay for the domain.  – marcaria.com accepts paypal!

After completed the payment I received an email saying:

Service: Domain Name Registration  |Years |Price |Order Number |Reg.T.Fr.|
————————————————————————–
fh-kaernen.at                      |1     |35    |0154320      |3 days   |
——————————————————————-
Total Domain Services    USD 35
——————————————————————-

I logged in to my user account and tried to add a new domain using my Cpanel.

Unlike .com or .net or .org or .info so on domain names, I could not add this .at domain name as it returned with some kind of error

I said to myself the domain will be registered next week. You know what? I did the registration at the morning and got this email at the evening:

Dear Customer:

We are glad to inform you that the domain fh-kaernen.at has been successfully registered.

Please notice that provided DNS servers were not responding in an authoritative way, so in order to complete registration we have declared our own DNS servers in it’s place. Once you have corrected the problem on your DNS servers, you can then log into your Marcaria.com account and re-enter the information of your DNS servers.

I went back to my cpanel and this time the new domain adding was successful.

Now waiting for name server propagation.
