Will Google index more pages if you have more high page ranks links to your site?
First of all this is more likely a self-note than a prove-of-concept post.
I have a site with 23-25.000 indexed pages (constant for 3 month). Frontpage PR5 and has about 3000 backlinks.
So the experiment was to direct a PR6 link from relevant site to the frontpage to see, if Google will index more pages because of this PR6 link.
During this experiment no changes made to the website.
In the fist week nothing happened. State of indexed pages still the same. In the second week, Google indexed ~3000 more pages!
Now I deleted a PR6 relevant link to see if Google removes the ~3000 extra pages from index.
Will update this post when I have the result.
